Fitness is a set of attributes that one possesses that may allow them to complete a task or meet demands of the environment in an efficent and effective manner. To have relationships or social connection can include familiar, friendly or plutonic relationships that can include people or animals, work, or romantic relationships. How we interact with people who fall into these categores will vary based on the category by which the relationship is based. In all cases we want to be able to interact with people on a level that allows for mutural growth. The way we may treat a spouse will be different than the way we engage with a people we work with. Learning and knowing how to navigate those relationships with appropriate boundries can make for a relationship that can develop and grow over time.
Navigating my own relationships, be them famliar, professional, or friendly, I try to consider how I show up for them. I have to navigate my own internal dialogue. What are my attributes, my beliefs and my style of communication. It is much easer to be alone and not have to address these three things. However, the more I recognize the want and need to be a part of a group, have a support system, and not feel alone, I have to work on my own attributes by working on self developement, my cognative beliefs, and how I communicate thoughts and ideas to those around me.
No matter if a relationships develops, grows, takes on new shapes and dimenstions or it does the exact opposite, taking time for personal reflecion and learning from any situation can help improve how one shows up to future relatiohships. I always try to forgive and not seek any form of vengenace in my relationships. I certainly hope I am granted the same forgiveness in return. We are ever evolving animals and we change over time. We are 50% of the relationship and therefore 50% of the change that occurs.
